Headway San Antonio is the first ever expansion site of Bastion’s signature Headway program.
This program is powered by Headway San Antonio founding partner Wounded Warrior Project, allowing all of our Headway veterans to participate cost-free.

About Headway San Antonio
Thanks to the founding partnership of Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), Bastion is launching the first expansion site of Headway, a cost-free program for post-9/11 veterans living with a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other neurological conditions.
On Tuesday, July 15, representatives from Bastion, WWP, and the San Antonio veteran community gathered at Headway San Antonio’s new home, Endeavors Health and Wellness Center, for a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

Headway’s staff in both New Orleans and San Antonio includes Licensed Occupational Therapists and Certified OT Assistants who help veterans build independence and functional skills through evidence-based interventions with the support of Bastion’s Clinical Director and Program Director. In 2024, Headway provided over 800 hours of individual occupational therapy to New Orleans veterans. Graduates have achieved goals like full-time employment, homeownership, and consistently demonstrate significant gains in independence and enrichment. Bexar County, which includes San Antonio, is home to almost 160,000 veterans plus more than 80,000 active duty military members. Bastion is proud to be expanding Headway to this military hub and become part of the network of resources and services that are changing lives in Texas every day!
